International Garden Festival – France

One of the most interesting garden festivals, called the “Festival des Jardins” annually takes place in the gardens of the Chateaux Chaumont-sur-Loire in the Loire Valley. About 30 internationaly renowned landscape artists from countries all over the world create themed gardens according to contemporary style. For 2013 contributions from countries like the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Italy and the UK have been selected. Therefore garden lovers can take note of the latest ideas on the use of plants and colours. Since the festival stretches from 24 April until 20 October the different gardens gradually evolve according to the changing of the season.
